Arcadia A96-01 and Riciclantica: holistic yacht design, combining comfort and sustainability
Among its features, the Arcadia A96-01 excels in reducing environmental impact, minimizing weight, and enhancing acoustic comfort, representing the pinnacle of holistic yacht design.
This yacht, approximately 30 meters in length and almost 8 meters in width, features large terraces at the stern, a highly maneuverable propulsion system, and a maximum speed of about 23-24 knots, characteristic of the Sherpa range.
The pursuit of contact with nature is profound: the spaces blend seamlessly with the surrounding panorama, while the concept, exterior lines, and onboard technology are designed in every detail to offer total wellbeing. From the stern beach to the bow, there is a continuous succession of environments, allowing the owner to choose between the conviviality of the Main Deck, a more discreet setting on the Upper Deck, and total privacy in the bow area.
Sliding doors ensure versatility, and in the Main and Upper Deck salons, the side and stern walls can slide open to transform them into open-air spaces. The yacht has five cabins: the full-width, luminous owner's suite at the bow of the Main Deck, while the Lower Deck houses the four guest cabins.
For the interior design, the shipyard commissioned renowned designer Igor Lobanov to opt for natural and, where possible, eco-friendly materials, with a design featuring soft lines and pleasant-to-touch furnishings. Elements and inspirations from Art Deco were adopted, such as sleek curves and dark lacquered surfaces. The color palette is neutral and light, with some dark or metallic elements for contrast.
In the context of holistic yacht design, with particular attention to weight optimization within the galley, the Riciclantica collection stands out for its technical and aesthetic qualities, embodying Valcucine's principle of dematerialization, an ethical foundation.
The aluminum frame, resistant to water, steam, and heat, houses the world's lightest and thinnest door, only 2 mm thick, saving up to 85% of material compared to a traditional 2 cm door. The silicone rubber seal acts as a bumper, dust guard, and drip protector.
Silicone rubber is also non-toxic, hypoallergenic, heat-resistant, and fully recyclable, widely used in the food and medical sectors. Silicone is not a plastic and is not derived from petroleum but from sand, like glass. Silicone materials exhibit excellent thermal stability and high resistance to UV and atmospheric aging.
These elements make the Riciclantica kitchen not only aesthetically pleasing but also an ecologically responsible choice, perfectly aligning with the sustainability and wellbeing philosophy of the Arcadia A96.
The A96-01 offers three unique advantages: its volume, a top speed of approximately 23-24 knots, and expansive surfaces, with over 400 square meters of livable space. In this instance, efforts have also been made to optimize weight, increase structural comfort, and enhance the efficiency of all wiring and piping systems, as well as the thermo-acoustic insulation of the engine room.
The four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines of this unit offer excellent maneuverability via joystick and pitch stability thanks to interceptors and a dynamic positioning system via satellite. The shallow draft and compact size of the engines allow the A96 to navigate virtually anywhere.
The Arcadia A96-01 is equipped with advanced maneuvering support systems provided by Volvo Penta and Garmin. Volvo Penta supplied the Assisted Docking system to facilitate mooring operations, while Garmin developed the Surround View Camera System, offering a 360° view of the boat, helping to avoid obstacles. Additionally, the optional silent mode system with over 100kWh capacity, also powered by solar panels, allows for up to 8-9 hours of silent operation. The cabins are equipped with silent air conditioning, and the CMC Marine Waveless Stab fins ensure comfort both while cruising and at anchor.
