Back at Eurocucina
After twelve years at the Fuorisalone event, Valcucine will be back this year at Eurocucina 2014 to support the re-launch of the Made in Italy products in the world .
Valcucine will be talking about Sustainability driven innovation. Once again, the theme is the essence of the company's unchanging DNA, i.e. innovation guided by research into greater sustainability.
Pursuing sustainability is not synonymous of being ecological; it means to constantly continue with ongoing improvement and the tension inherent in this goal has inspired Valcucine to be continually innovative, combining functionality with aesthetics.
Valcucine's company vision “We have a dream, a waste-free world” has resulted in respecting the main principles of eco-compatibility: dematerialisation, recycling and reusing, reducing toxic emissions and guaranteeing a long technical and aesthetic life to products.
Valcucine can produce many examples that show how research to increase sustainability has always promoted innovation, i.e. the type of innovation that results in a continuously improved product.
The Artematica programme is an emblematic example because it revolutionised the concept of kitchen doors and lead to the mere 2mm thick panels of Riciclantica. The 100% recyclable Invitrum base units, that have no formaldehyde at all and eliminate double side panels and are easy to disassemble and to reuse or recycle at the end of their life cycle, are yet another example.
But that's not all. Being well aware that responsible forest stewardship is fundamental to protect the environment, Valcucine also obtained compliance to the FSC-STD-40-004 standard in 2008 and its ultimate goal is to produce kitchen models in which all the wood parts come from FSC forests. The chipboard used for Valcucine kitchens now closely adheres to the limit values set by the strictest regulation in the world, the Japanese Formaldehyde Emission Standards (F four stars)
Moreover, Valcucine is the first Italian kitchen manufacturer to have obtained the ISO 14001 environmental certification. The pursuit of greater sustainability has also driven the company to tackle not only new product concepts but also new, feasible, production process and consumption models.
With the Meccanica model by the demode engineered by Valcucine and the Invitrum base units, Valcucine has achieved the first example of kitchen cabinets designed following the principles of circular economy, by reducing the production of waste and solving, at least partially, the problem of raw material provisions which, as everyone knows, are not infinite and are difficult to obtain.
Based on the above, Valcucine is the only company that issues a life-long responsibility guarantee, making a public commitment to take back its cabinets and dismantle them at the end of their life cycle. With a view to the future, when it is assumed that the transfer of goods will be surpassed by the transmission of information, Valcucine opens up to experimenting with shared innovation models and new production models such as open source design and distributed manufacturing with the Kitchen Becomes Open! event at the Fuorisalone event in Milan this year.
Eurocucina is also undoubtedly the perfect backdrop where novelties, innovation and the essence of sustainability can be presented. A far-reaching view that interprets the materials that best represent Valcucine's products:
Glass, from the new versions for Artematica Vitrum, which is ground with precious 3D effects, to the new middle-eastern style decors available for the Artematica Vitrum Arte version, achieved with the contribution of master mosaic workers and suitable for a modern, international clientele.
Wood in the brand new, textural Rovere Tattile Millenium by Artematica finish.
Steel in the modern burnished version for Riciclantica, the most technological kitchen with the lightest door ever to be launched on the market, provided with new wall panelling for the occasion.
Iron for the Meccanica democratic design and concept kitchen system marketed under the “demode engineered by Valcucine” brand.
There will also be an exclusive first-time presentation, in collaboration with Guardian, of the innovative glass Linea C6 top that offers exceptional hardness nearing the 8th degree of the Mohs scale, and of the new induction hob integrated in the Linea Top which is the outcome of the collaboration of Valcucine with Electrolux.
