Protecting craftsmanship. The story of Varisco's Family
To walk into the craftsman's workshop of the Varisco family in Treviso is like taking a journey into the past. The history of artistic glasswork is indissolubly linked to glass blowing, a millenary art that the master glass workers of Murano have preserved and handed down from generation to generation.
A family that originates from this very famous island of the lagoon of Venice has devised and refined the glass engraving, cutting and polishing processes using age-old wheels, stones, pumices, cork and other natural materials. An ancient art performed with great skill that makes each decorated glass or crystal element unique.
Valcucine exploits this special handicraft ability, as well as the art of sculpturing wood and stone, to beautify the furniture of its SineTempore model with decors that express the culture and history of an entire people.
