LEED v4.1 PRODUCTS

Valcucine products contribution toward LEED v4.1

For more than forty years, Valcucine has been standing out for the design and production of high-end sustainable and innovative kitchens.
Once again, Valcucine sets the bar high with the LEED V4.1mapping of its kitchen products.

LEED Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – is the most widely used third-party verification system for green buildings. LEED provides a framework for healthy, efficient, carbon and cost-saving green buildings. LEED V4.1 certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. The green building systems adopted as reference for mapping involve the building as a whole, not just the individual product, but construction components, as kitchens, play a fundamental role in the sustainability and certification goal of the building itself.

All the LEED v4.1 mapped products involved in a project, including kitchens, can therefore contribute to credits as long as they’re in conformity with credits requirements. To achieve LEED certification, a project earns points by adhering to prerequisites and credits that address carbon, energy, water, waste, transportation, materials, health and indoor environmental quality. Projects go through a verification and review process by GBCI and are awarded points that correspond to a level of LEED certification: Certified (40-49 points), Silver (50-59 points), Gold (60-79 points) and Platinum (80+ points).
